Roasted Bologna (sandwich)

Roasted Bologna sandwich. A classic dad food. Take a big hunk of bologna, smother that shit with brown sugar, mustard, ketchup, bake the flying fuck out of it, slice that shit up, and make a sandwich big enough to satisfy the largest Kardashian.




This shit is a real no brainer. Few ingredients set it and forget it.

-pre heat oven 250

-1 whole bologna

-1/2 C ground mustard

-1/2 C ketchup

-1 1/2 C brown sugar




Start out by scoring that meat log in a diamond pattern about 1/4″ deep.




Next plop that bitch on a well lined baking sheet and coat the shit out of it.  A classic meat rub down. Get that glaze in there all nice and deep like.






Stuff that meat hunk in your oven, scored side up, and about 1/3 of the way down from the top .

Bake that shit for a good 4-5 hours. Pull out before the foreskin starts to burn.

Make a killer fuckin’ sandwich with some sweet pickles, mustard, on a god damn asiago roll.

    1. Next time in going to smoke one…I was worried that it might take on too much of the smoke flavor…but the bologna flavor is so strong I think it would be nice to have another aspect to it

    I have to say that this is something that I had never heard of or even considered.

    I used to share a house with a guy who would make “Bologna Boats”. (fried bologna on toast with applesauce).

    I may have to try this just to see how it would turn out.
